Gujarat
The state of Gujarat   is in the Western India region of the India. Lothal, near to Ahmedabad and Dholavira, near to Kutch are sites of a Harappan (Indus) civilisation, which were older than 4000 years. Gujarat is known for the Stepped Wells, Jain Temples, Asiatic Lion and business oriented people.
The most convenient entry point into Gujarat is through the metropolis of Ahmedabad. The city contains some very fine museums, the Calico Museum of Textiles being considered among the world’s finest. Ahmedabad’s walled city is a living testimony to its heritage of crafts as women walk by in dazzling embroidered garments and flashing ethnic silver jewellery. Traditional Ahmedabad combines mosques of inspired workmanship, wooden Jain temples, unique stone stepwells and houses with ornately carved wooden balconies and window screens.
The beautiful temples, historical monuments, secluded beaches and the rich flora and fauna has led to the growth of tourism in Gujarat.   • Ahmedabad: 
Manchester of the East, commercial capital of Gujarat, home of Mahatma Gandhi’s Ashram and the World’s finest Textile Museum.
  • Sabarmati Ashram: 

Sabarmati Ashram
Sabarmati Ashram, formerly known as 'Satyagraha Ashram", situated in Ahmedabad at the Kocharab Bungalow of Jivanlal Desai, a barrister. Later on it was shifted to the banks of Sabarmati river and then it came to be known as 'Sabarmati Ashram'. Gandhi stayed at the Ashram from 1915 to 1933 later on the Ashram was disbanded. The Ashram is a witness to many important historical events

  • Dwarka:
Dwarka is an important Hindu pilgrimage city and is also known as the kingdom of Lord Krishna. Being one of the four major pilgrim places for Hindus, the city is a part of the "Char Dham" Yatra. Many tourists and devotees visit this city throughout the year. 
  • Palitana:
Amongst all the Jain temples, Palitana Jain mandir are considered to be the most sacred. Located on Shetrunjaya hills there are 863 Jain Palitana temples in Gujarat, exquisitely carved in marble. No one is allowed to sleep overnight including the priest, because the temple city has been built as an abode for the Gods. The town is considered by many Jains to be more important than the otherJain thirth yatra temple covered hills of Bihar, Gwalior, Mt Abu and Girnar. Palitana Gujarat was the capital of a princely state of the Gohil Rajput clan. It is also one of the greatest tourist attractions in Gujarat for foreign tourists. 

  • Somnath Temple:

The Somnath Temple represents one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and refers to the protector of Moon God. The temple is situated in Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval. The temple has been destroyed and reconstructed six times and thus, it is known as 'The Shrine Eternal'.

Indigo Airlines, Jetlite, Kingfisher airlines; Air India and Kingfisher Red operate regular flights to Ahmedabad from all major cities of India. Other airports are at Vadodara, Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Surat, Kandla, Keshod, Jamnagar, Porbandar and Rajkot.
  • Rail:
There are trains from/to Bombay and New Delhi and other big cities of India several times a daygoing to the main cities of North-Centre-South Gujarat like: Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat.
  • Car:
An excellent network of roads, state and national highways connects Ahmedabad, the capital city to the different important places in the state of Gujarat and the major cities of India.

Golden Temple In Amritsar (India).

The temple is open twenty-four hours per day and part of the highlight is seeing the complex in different shades of light and with different crowds inside, which range from thousands upon thousands of pilgrims filling up the interior to just a handful of people sitting around enjoying the peace and quiet in the late night and early morning hours.Once in Amritsar, just walk through the main entrance of the Golden Temple – the holiest temple for the Sikh religion – and try not to be blown away by the structure before you. And try not to be blown away by the beautiful mix of colors all around you as well, by the traditional music being played over the entire complex and by the happy and friendly Indians strolling along the marble walkway that surrounds the main temple, locals who are typically from the countryside and who have rarely, if ever, seen a foreigner.

  • Shri Harmandir Sahib

Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrin of the Sikh religion. It is in the centre of the old part of Amritsar. The Golden Temple sits on a rectangular platform,Surrounded by a pool of water called the Amrit Sarovar.

  • Jallianwala Bagh

The memorial is managed by the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Trust, which was established as per the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Act passed by the Government of India in 1951. 

  •  Wagah Border

Wagah is the border that lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar in Punjab, India and Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan. It is the only road border which crosses between India and Pakistan. The border is at a distance of 20 kms from Amritsar and 22 kms from Lahore.

  •    Durgiana Temple

Durgiana Temple (Lakshmi Narayan Temple) is a premier Hindu temple of Punjab (India) situated in the city of Amritsar. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga . It is a few yards away from  Railway Station & about 1.5 km. from Amritsar’s Bus Stand.

Sri Guru Ram Das International Airport (IATA: ATQ) is about 13 km and a 18-20 minutes drive from the city center. It's one of the modern airports in India and quite adequate if not exactly exciting. Most flights are to Delhi, an hour away, but there are an increasing number of international connections: British Midland International (bmi) flies to London via Almaty, Jet flies to London, Air India flies to Toronto via London and Air Slovakia flies to Bergamo, Barcelona and Birmingham via Bratislava. There are also surprising numbers of flights to Central Asia (eg. Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan). Qatar Airways now flies to Doha

By Car
Long-distance taxis are available from most places. It takes around 6-7 hours from New Delhi via NH-1.
Amritsar is well-connected by bus to most major cities and the northern areas within a day’s drive. pathankot is about 2.5 hours away and about 100km away, Jalandhar is about 80km from here, Kapurthala (royal city) is about 65km from here and there are daily direct buses to New Delhi, Jammu, Katra, Chandigarh,Dharamsala (once daily, c. 6 hours), etc.You can find Volvo buses from ChandigarhDelhi and Katra to Amritsar.

Air Transport 

The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (formerly Sahar International Airport) is the main aviation hub in the city and the second busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic. It handled 36.6 million passengers and 694,300 tonnes of cargo during FY 2014–2015. An upgrade plan was initiated in 2006, targeted at increasing the capacity of the airport to handle up to 40 million passengers annually and the new terminal T2 was opened in February 2014.

Rail

The Mumbai Suburban Railway, popularly referred to as Locals forms the backbone of the city's transport system. It is operated by the Central Railway and Western Railway zones of the Indian Railways. Mumbai's suburban rail systems carried a total of 6.3 million passengers every day in 2007, which is more than half of the Indian Railways daily carrying capacity. Trains are overcrowded during peak hours, with nine-car trains of rated capacity 1,700 passengers, actually carrying around 4,500 passengers at peak hours. The Mumbai rail network is spread at an expanse of 319 route kilometres. 191 rakes (train-sets) of 9 car and 12 car composition are utilised to run a total of 2,226 train services in the city.

Sea

Mumbai is served by two major ports, Mumbai Port Trust and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, which lies just across the creek in Navi Mumbai. Mumbai Port has one of the best natural harbours in the world, and has extensive wet and dry dock accommodation facilities. Jawaharlal Nehru Port, commissioned on 26 May 1989, is the busiest and most modern major port in India. It handles 55–60% of the country's total containerised cargo. Ferries from Ferry Wharf in Mazagaon allow access to islands near the city.
Bus

Mumbai's bus services carried over 5.5 million passengers per day in 2008, which dropped to 2.8 million in 2015. Public buses run by BEST cover almost all parts of the metropolis, as well as parts of Navi Mumbai, Mira-Bhayandar and Thane. The BEST operates a total of 4,608 buses with CCTV cameras installed, ferrying 4.5 million passengers daily over 390 routes. Its fleet consists of single-decker, double-decker, vestibule, low-floor, disabled-friendly, air-conditioned and Euro IIIcompliant diesel and compressed natural gas powered buses. BEST introduced air-conditioned buses in 1998 BEST buses are red in colour, based originally on the Routemaster buses of London Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation(MSRTC, also known as ST) buses provide intercity transport connecting Mumbai with other towns and cities of Maharashtra and nearby states. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) and Thane Municipal Transport (TMT) also operate their buses in Mumbai, connecting various nodes of Navi Mumbai and Thane to parts of Mumbai.
