The state of Gujarat   is in the Western India region of the India. Lothal, near to Ahmedabad and Dholavira, near to Kutch are sites of a Harappan (Indus) civilisation, which were older than 4000 years. Gujarat is known for the Stepped Wells, Jain Temples, Asiatic Lion and business oriented people.

• Ahmedabad: 

Manchester of the East, commercial capital of Gujarat, home of Mahatma Gandhi’s Ashram and the World’s finest Textile Museum.

• Sabarmati Ashram: 

Sabarmati Ashram

Sabarmati Ashram, formerly known as 'Satyagraha Ashram", situated in Ahmedabad at the Kocharab Bungalow of Jivanlal Desai, a barrister. Later on it was shifted to the banks of Sabarmati river and then it came to be known as 'Sabarmati Ashram'. Gandhi stayed at the Ashram from 1915 to 1933 later on the Ashram was disbanded. The Ashram is a witness to many important historical events

• Dwarka:

Dwarka is an important Hindu pilgrimage city and is also known as the kingdom of Lord Krishna. Being one of the four major pilgrim places for Hindus, the city is a part of the "Char Dham" Yatra. Many tourists and devotees visit this city throughout the year. 

• Palitana:

Amongst all the Jain temples, Palitana Jain mandir are considered to be the most sacred. Located on Shetrunjaya hills there are 863 Jain Palitana temples in Gujarat, exquisitely carved in marble. No one is allowed to sleep overnight including the priest, because the temple city has been built as an abode for the Gods. The town is considered by many Jains to be more important than the otherJain thirth yatra temple covered hills of Bihar, Gwalior, Mt Abu and Girnar. Palitana Gujarat was the capital of a princely state of the Gohil Rajput clan. It is also one of the greatest tourist attractions in Gujarat for foreign tourists. 

• Somnath Temple:

The Somnath Temple represents one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and refers to the protector of Moon God. The temple is situated in Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval. The temple has been destroyed and reconstructed six times and thus, it is known as 'The Shrine Eternal'.
